Across the lifespan : Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Checks and Lifescripts (Free DVD)

This Rural Health Education Foundation program, to be broadcast in early April, describes health assessments available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and tools in the Lifescripts program available to assist health workers to manage lifestyle issues. A GWAHS emphasis to the subject is provided by Nola Whyman of the Maari Ma Primary Health Care Service in Broken Hill.

Indicators for chronic diseases and their determinants 2008 (AIHW)

A new national report released today by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) focuses on 12 chronic conditions that represent a large burden of disease in Australia. While there have been favourable trends for the majority of indicators, the report reveals that bowel cancer and obesity are on the rise.

National public health expenditure report 2005-06 (AIHW)

This publication provides detailed estimates of recurrent expenditure for financial year 2005-06 along with selected time series data back to 1999-00.
